Imagining the Future

May 4, 2021 - One thing that has been hard during this pandemic is that it’s been tough to plan for the future…well, impossible to plan for the future. But as we get more vaccinations it is allowing us to make plans. Something that has been a real foundation of my life is thinking about future fun experiences. It makes me so happy to be moving back in that direction!
In the chakra system, the 6th chakra (at the 3rd eye) is the one that is all about imaging and visualizing. It definitely took a bit of hit during COVID! So, to wake up this chakra from its dormant state, we can practice imagining the future…you can really feel it in your head, it’s cool.
An exercise you can do right now, is to take about 10 minutes and draw a scene you want to have happen this summer. It’s just for you, so it doesn’t have to be “art”. I sort of think of it like journaling about the future, but instead of using words, you are “journaling” an image. It’s fun, and it really gets your mind to wake up to the future. I hope you enjoy it. :-)
