Life Is Uncertain

Nov. 9, 2021 - In the Bhagavad Gita, the warrior (Arjuna) is advised by his chariot driver/God (Krishna) that he should be his True Self and be a warrior. Of course, it’s all an analogy to life. We are Arjuna, and we are trying to figure out life and there is a lot of uncertainty. What the Bhagavad Gita is saying, through Krishna, is that all we need to do is be our Self and all is great.
Well, wouldn’t that be awesome if that’s how the story ends…but, alas, no such luck. Instead, the story in the Gita ends with Arjuna still struggling with being himself, even after God tells him who he is and to be that person. MAN, what a bummer. Having an advisor who is God, and still there is uncertainty.
I love that, because it more resonates with my own life, and it’s good to know maybe it’s universal. Maybe we are all uncertain, and struggle with what in the world we’re doing, and we’re just doing our best…and, even if we had God telling us what do and what our path is, we’d still be uncertain. It gives me a certain comfort of my personal uncertain life.
So, I hope you embrace your uncertainty today, and delight in life in spite of it.
