March 31, 2021 - I listened to a podcast last night, while not being about to sleep, from On Being. The episode is entitled, “What’s Happening in Our Nervous System?” The show was all about the fact that we have been living in a true state of trauma over the last year because of COVID, and that we should acknowledge the truth of that, be kind to ourselves and others, and do some self-care activities.
Some methods that they talked about are grounding in your feet, elongating the exhale, self-touch, and a mental state of telling yourself “it’s ok.”
Good plan. Today, let’s truly care for ourselves in life, and in this class.
