March 24, 2021 - A friend of mine sent out a group email to some friends that said, “I decided to look online to find conspiracy theories on the COVID vaccine.” And, sure enough, he did…and now he wanted us all to know he won’t get vaccinated.
I am reading a book right now called, “A More Beautiful Question.” And, you guessed it, the book is all about the power of formulating and asking beautiful questions. The current chapter is about Edwin Land, who was on vacation in New Mexico in 1943. He took a photo of his family and his young daughter asked him the question of why she couldn’t see the photo right after he took the picture. You have to give Edwin credit. Instead of blowing off the question, he sought to answer it, working for the next 30 years until he developed the Polaroid camera.
The thing about beautiful questions is they can truly transform the world. The thing about bad questions, like asking how many conspiracy theories you can find, can do a lot of damage. It all points to the incredible power of questions, for better or so.
The history of yoga is built on good questions. Arguing about philosophy, questioning ideas…and it continues to this day in your own individual yoga practice. To be a good yogini/yogi is be curious and open. Stay curious, and enjoy practice today!

In 1990 Hungarian biochemist Katalin Kariko was looking for funding for an idea she had for a new vaccine. She didn’t get any funding. She kept trying…being rejected 80 times in search of funding. Finally, she found funding after searching for five years, in 1995. This year, she ...

Spring - A Feast for Your Senses
March 30, 2021 - The other day I went outside to the wonderful smell of SPRING. I had to tell Jane to come outside and smell it, too. I love the smell of Spring. I don’t know if it’s because it represents the coming of brighter, longer, warmer days…or, it just is a great smell. Either way, ri...
