Dec. 2, 2021 - Yesterday a student shared a new song with me from Courtney Barnett - "Write a List of Things to Look Forward To". I like the song, but I like the title even more. Like most people, I've made gratitude lists and thought of things I'm grateful for, but I have to admit, I've never made a list of things I'm looking forward to. What a great idea!!
There are so many things to look forward to. A nice way to do the practice is to think of things that are soon, like today, and then go out from there to things that are far away you are looking forward to. And, one of the aspects of it is that the practice makes you want to come up with more things to put on the list. I really love it.
So, you can do that yourself, and, you can join class and do that in your mind during class. :-)
