April 26, 2021 - Right now it is heading toward to the end of the semester at UVM...but we are still in this semester. And, what a semester, and whole school year, it's been for everyone!
Like most people, I'm ready to move on from it all...we are in this period of not being done with the last thing, and wanting to move to the next - a transition.
I have to admit, transitions aren't my favorite, and I don't really manage them to well. I end of up not making time for them, then getting all stressed out. It's not fun. But, what's cool is in yoga there is a real emphasis on transitions as being special, mainly focused on the transitions that occur in every breath. We have the inhale and exhale, but then we have two transitions. One at the top and one at the bottom. These are thought of as gateways. Opening up to a quieter place. It's cool to think of the breath, and life that way...that the transition is actually something that is special and to fully experience.
Today, let's do that in our practice, through the breath as well as the postures. Enjoy!

I hope you will shine your br...

Using Breath for Connection
April 16, 2021 - The breath is probably the simplest method we have to remind ourselves that we are part of something bigger. The idea that if we deeply connect to the breath, we also connect to something much bigger than ourselves. I really love that.
I really like this section from one of th...
