Jan. 26, 2021 - There is lots of talk online and with friends these days about how people end up believing that white supremacy is a good idea, or storming the capital is patriotic, or believing any of the numerous wild conspiracy theories out there. Something that I like that I saw posted online was, "If there is a white supremacist to your left, and a white supremacist to your right, maybe you're a white supremacist."
Basically saying that you become the company you keep. If all your friends believe in conspiracy theories and other wacked out stuff...well...you might consider new friends before it's too late and you start thinking the same thing. It's understood that it is way easier to fall into being like the type of people we surround ourselves with, then to struggle against the grain. If, on the other hand, all the people you are around are awesome, well, you must be pretty awesome yourself!
I feel lucky to be around just great people in teaching my yoga classes. It makes it easier to be a nice guy when I am around such great people. I hope you are in a positive community - it really makes so much difference. Enjoy today's class. :-)
