Using Your Breath As Your Mental Target

Feb. 10, 2021 - I like the concept of setting a target where you want to focus the mind. Somewhere to turn your attention. I think of it as if life is a bar. There noice, there is distraction, there is lots going on.
And, with all of that, you are trying to be present. So, there is a dart board, and you have a dart. Your job is to focus your awareness, not get lost in all the distractions, and focus your mental awareness on the bullseye of the dartboard, freeing yourself from all the other distractions of the bar. :-)
A really great way to focus on your mind on the target is with the breath. It's always happening, it's inside of you. It's a great mental target to sent to send the dart of your mind.
So, let's free ourselves from the chaos of the bar, and focus on our breath in practice. :-)
