May 14, 2021 - Yesterday I was at the new City Hall Park in Burlington. There is a new fountain, grass, places to sit, walkways...it's totally great. I sat there with my dog, Dewey, and we both watched as the world went by. We enjoyed the kids playing in the fountain, people meeting for the first time maskless because they are fully vaccinated, other people with dogs coming by to say hi. We were doing what people do when they go to the park…enjoying life!
You can do the same thing while practicing yoga. You can just be and enjoy life going by, without the idea that you should focus the mind or feel some particular way in the heart. Instead, experiencing the body, mind, and heart for whatever they offer, just like being in the park and experiencing whatever is offered. Enjoying watching your inner world like you watch the outer world when you are at the park. It’s fun to do, and it’s super low pressure. We’ll do that in the practice today…with a bit of lying down in the grass and looking up at the blue sky at the end. :-)

And, I teach these classes classes LIVE Monday-Friday morning from ...

First, See The Good
May 13, 2021 - In the Yoga Teacher Training that in direct at the University of Vermont, our moto is “First, See the Good.” What I love about it is that it implies that there is always good. No matter what is happening, you can look around and see something that’s great. Yay. :-)
