Dec. 7, 2021 - I am reading a book right now called "The External Mind...The Power of Thinking Outside the Brain." In the chapter I am currently listening to it is talking about the idea of "interoception." As the author describes it, "interoception is nothing more than the feeling of being alive." It's literally that...what does it feel like to be alive. How does the body feel? What emotional feelings does the body have? And, a foundational test of your ability for interception, can you feel your heartbeat?
The whole concept is pretty awesome, and throughout class I talk about it and we more experience the idea, mainly through heart-opening postures. Enjoy!
