Jan 20, 2021 - Yesterday I was walking my dog, Dewey, around Burlington. I came across a woman how looked like she was having a hard time with the parking meter, so I said, "You doing ok?" She was so grateful. She just wanted to be sure she had done it right and there was time on the meter. I checked and it was all good, and she asked if she could give my dog a treat. Kindness matched with kindness. I was struck by how much she appreciated my simple offering and words..and, of course, it made me feel good to ask.
I know that there is the saying, "Actions speak louder than words," but kind words can do so much good, and hateful words can do so much harm. We are definitely moving into a new era in America, and I look forward to words being used to bring us together, as opposed to divide us.
"“But if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.”
George Orwell

Yoko Ono
Enjoy today's class about the power of words. It's a wonderful day and new beginning!

In the interview she was talking a bit about herself and her life, and that the reason she got into readi...

Savoring Time...and Particularly Winter
Jan. 25, 2021 - I really don't like winter. I was born and raised in Wyoming, and then from there moved to Vermont; someplace just as wintery, but darker. I have spent lots of time in my life asking myself why?? Not why I don't like winter, but why I live in this cold place. Arrggg!
BUT, this ...
