August 2, 2021 - I have been thinking about all the people that travel for a living. I have done a little traveling as a musician, so I was thinking about musicians who travel full-time. Then there are people who do a lot of traveling that are teachers…like world traveling yoga teachers. Entertainers of all kinds travel. Truck drivers. A lot of people travel for their work. I’m not really thinking about people who sometimes travel as part of their job, but more the people that their job wouldn’t exist without constantly going from place to place. I t think it would be super interesting to find out how much of the world’s workers actual have to keep moving in order to earn an income. I think it’s fascinating.
In relation to yoga, I wonder about how they find a feeling of “home” while traveling. Wouldn’t it be interesting to know..to have a book that interviews a bunch of them to find their secret to finding home on the road. I think that would be really cool. So, since I don’t know, I’d have to guess, and I think something that could really help is finding home in your breath. The breath is this amazing thing that gives life, calms the mind, helps the blood. Breath is amazing, and just taking one single breath can really change your world. If they aren’t using breath to find home, it sure seems like it should be sometime they should add to their toolbox.
What’s great, is you and I can do it right now. Take one conscious breath and notice how it makes you feel more at home. Pretty great, huh. :-)
